Bustling with a neighborhood crowd seven days a week, Deja Vu was named ìbest neighborhood barî by the 1999 Chicago Tribune Readers Poll. Late night, Deja Vu draws a crowd from across the north side of the city. Retro decor is a definite presence, from the round window in the front door to the checkerboard floors. Nostalgic rock posters dot one wall, and the lighting is eclectic to say the least, ranging from old-style Italian table candles to twirly lava-lamp-inspired lights to bulbous blue ceiling lamps to futuristic metal ones.
